Family deserves better

The staff were really nice and respectful they tried to make things right for us and offered a discount for our troubles. Plus they quickly gave us a new room when the door lock broke in the first one.

It wasn't exactly cheap but honestly it should've been a lot less for the quality of the place.

I really enjoyed the clean room and the cozy bed during my stay. The efficient coffee maker was a nice touch! Relaxing by the pool and being able to unwind on the patio made my trip even better. The only downside was the somewhat outdated bathroom, but it didn’t take away from my overall good experience. 😊

If you're hunting for local good eats, Tiramisu Bakery and Moorenko's Ice Cream are your jam—grab a cheese sandwich from the bakery and indulge in some drool-worthy ice cream. Plus, the price was a steal for those convenient metro links!

But let’s keep it real, the first room was straight-up tragic—old, filthy carpet reeking of smoke, and the 'upgraded' second room wasn’t much better with creepy crawlies chilling by the windows. Definitely feels like the whole place needs a major clean-up.

Unfortunately, the non-smoking room smelled distinctly of smoke, which was rather unpleasant. The furniture felt dated, with most appearing to be at least 30 years old, and several items in the room showed significant wear. The cleanliness left much to be desired, with various reports of cockroaches and stained carpets. Some rooms had leaking sinks and lacked essential items like a hairdryer or shampoo, creating an overall impression of poor maintenance.

Unfortunately, my experience during the two-night stay was unpleasant. The room had a persistent stale smell, and I encountered issues with cleanliness, including stained towels. On the positive side, the area has beautiful walking trails nearby for relaxation.

I stayed in a super charming area, just a few steps from Acorn Park, and enjoyed the delicious pastries at Tiramisu Bakery, which was only a short walk away, making my weekend full of delightful discoveries.

Convenient location for DC, but rooms need better upkeep and security.
